¼ cup cocoa powder
½ cup water
1 cups sugar
pinch of salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla
In a small saucepan, combine the water and cocoa powder. Add the sugar and bring to a boil. Once the mixture comes to a boil, remove it from heat and add the salt and vanilla. Cool and store in the refrigerator. Yields about one cup.
For a thicker syrup, boil the mixture for three minutes.
